Mobile number portability to start from Oct 31

New Delhi: The telecom regulator on Thursday said mobile number portability (MNP) will be implemented nationwide from Oct 31, ruling out any further delay.

The MNP is a service that allows a mobile user to change his operator while retaining the number.

"There will be no further delay in the implementation of MNP," Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Chairman J.S. Sarma said here.

The Department of Telecom (DoT) Wednesday said the operators must ensure that all inter-operator tests for porting the numbers from one service provider to another are completed before Sept 1, 2010.

The Dot made it clear to all telecom operators that in case they fail to implement MNP as per the scheduled deadline, they will be barred from launching any new commercial services from Sept 1.

"It has been decided that permission to launch commercial service in any area with effect from September 1, 2010 shall be given to only those licensee(s) who are MNP compliant," said a DoT note.

Mobile service providers - Bharti Airtel, Reliance, Vodafone Essar, Tata Tele, Idea, STel and Aircel - are getting ready to launch high-speed 3G services from next month.

State-owned telcos Bharat Sanchar Nagar Nigam and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited have said they are ready with the infrastructure to implement the MNP service.

The earlier June 30 deadline for the implementation of MNP was deferred as the operators were not ready with the infrastructure to provide the service.

The MNP was to be implemented by December 31, 2009 in all the metro cities as well as in the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

The deadline was then changed to March 31, 2010 and thereafter to June 30, 2010.

Asked about the rolling out of 3G services, Sarma said: "I see no reason to believe that there would be any delay."

New Delhi: After missing three deadlines, mobile number portability (MNP), which allows subscribers to retain numbers even after changing service operators, will be rolled out in November, Telecom Minister A Raja said.

"November 1 onwards, MNP would be operational partially... First, we wanted to inaugurate in Haryana," Raja told reporters on the sidelines of an event organised by BSNL in New Delhi on Tuesday.

He also said that in the first phase, MNP will be launched in 11 circles and the implementation will begin from the second or third week of November.

An official announcement about this will be made on November 1. Implementation in the eleven circles would be completed by December 20, he said.

Syniverse Technologies, which had been selected by the telecom department as one of the clearing houses for implementing MNP, will manage the first phase of the roll-out.

The Department of Telecom had given licences to Syniverse Technologies and MNP Interconnection Telecom Solutions, a 74:26 joint venture between US-based Telcordia and Deepak Talwar Consultants Pvt Ltd, to implement MNP.

However, MNP Interconnection is yet to get security clearance from the government.

MNP will allow users to retain their mobile telephone numbers even if they switch operators.

The service is expected to be rolled out in the rest of the country in phases.

The deadline for roll-out of number portability in the country has already seen three extensions, which has resulted in a delay of almost one year. The last deadline for implementing MNP was October 31, 2010.

 

RGV removes NTR scenes in Rakta Charitra

Rakta Charitra which was released on Friday is turning around all controversies. The film had done editing of some scenes which are marking the character analogous to N.T. Rama Rao.

RGV who received a lot of protest from former chief minister’s family and the Telugu Desam party decide to remove the scenes from the film. The scenes were deleted with immediate course of action says co-producer of the movie C.Kalyan. Rakta Charitra was a trilingual film, featured Shatrughan Sinha, which is an indirect portrayal of NTR.The story is of the rival between two faction families Paritala Ravindra and G. Suryanarayana also known as Maddalacheruvu Suri.

The protest was severe that the TDP members started burning and tearing of Raktha Charitra banners and wall posters, in the places where the film is screening.

Prathi Roju on screens from October 29th

Prathi Roju movie is all set to the hit screens on October 29th. Ravi Babu and Bindu Madhavi are playing the lead roles for the first time ever. The flick is directed by Raju Rajendra Prasad and is being produced by V Nagender.

On talking about the film the producers says, the movie is based on some of the real life situations. We don’t get movies in Telugu frequently on such real situations so the movie is definitely going to grab the audience attention.

The actress who made her presence with some films was not so fruitful to her. Now Bindu Madhavi is eager to make a mile stone in her career with this heroine oriented movie.

The supporting casts of the film comprises of Chalapathi Rao, MS Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy, Ayesha Jalil, Duvvasi Mohan, Hema, Harshavardhan, and Satyam Rajesh. Cinematography is handled by Vamsi, while the editing is done by Aniruddha Reddy.

‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ back from Venice

The team of the film ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ is back from Venice after finishing a 10-day overseas schedule on October 20.

The crew comprising of Rana Daggubati, Ileana, Ali and Mumait Khan were present for the schedule in abroad. Two songs and few scenes were shot in the beautiful locations of Venice.

The producer of the film says “Puri Jagannath always maintains unique titles for his films, and same happened with this film too. The title seems very strange and rare.The title itself creates lots of enthusiasm for every viewer to watch the film. The scenes shot in foreign locations were quite good although we spent a short schedule abroad. The movie comprises of commercial standards and at same time will be excellent entertainer”

The film is directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas (Bujji) under the banner of Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.Viswa is contributing the tunes for this flick, while art direction is done by Chinna and cinematography by Amol Rathod.

Young Rebel star Prabhas who made a lover boy appearance in Darling, is busy in shooting of his next project. Right now the flim is scheduled in Nanakramguda.

The on screen Paritala Ravi, Vivek Oberoi had visited Anantapur today.Vivek visited mausoleum of Ravi at Venkatapuram and offered flowers. The villagers who are happy to see Vivek lifted up and raised him. The actor had a grand welcome to village.

Later Vivek met Paritala Suneetha, wife of Paritala Ravi, spent some time with them and had his meal with the  family.Vivek received a memento from Paritala Suneetha family.

According to the sources of the all the woods, if Ravi is seen as hero in first part, than the second part will make Maddalacheruvu Suri as a hero, as he killed Ravi.

RGV had already removed few scenes from first part due the protest from NTR family and TDP, for purportedly screening NTR negatively. The first part itself created a lot of protest and releasing the second part will be a big challenge for RGV.

The movie is expected to have several computer graphics and special effects. The film is the remake of Kannada super hit Aptha Rakshaka.and  follow-up of Chandramukhi. ‘Nagavalli’ has a lengthy list of heroines- Anushka, Richa Gangopadhyay, Kamilini Mukherjee and Sraddha Das are playing the lead roles.

‘Baava’ releasing on Oct 29th

Talented hero Siddharth’s and Praneetha starrer forthcoming family entertainer ‘Bava’ will release on October 29^th.Earlier ever one speculated that the movie will release on October 28^th , but it was officially announced by the producer that the movie will release on October 29^th.

The music of the movie was getting good response in the market. Music director of the film is Chakri. Film is directed by a debutant director Rambabu and produced by ML Padmakumar Chowdary under the banner of Keerthi Combines.

The movie is said to be based on village backdrop. Ace comedian actor Dr. Rajendra Prasad plays Siddharth’s father in the film. The other cast and crew of the film includes Ahuthi Prasad, Raghubabu, Nasser, Ali and others.

“I never expected such humiliation from Nandmuri family”: Gunasekhar

Kalyanram katti earlier titled as ‘Katti’, but as the director Gunasekhar had already registered with the same title, the NTR arts banner has decided to change the title in Mahesh Babu’s way. The unit decided to add prefix Kalyan Ram to Katti and to rename it as ‘Kalyan Ram Katti’ just as Mahesh did it for ‘Mahesh Khaleja’.

All the efforts made by Gunasekhar to stop the title of kalynram’s movie ‘kalyanram Katti’ were not yet worked out. He even asked the biggies in the industry to direct kalyanram to change the logo of the film and avoid the word ‘kathi’ in big letters and to keep the prefix in a big size. The efforts made by him were also useless.

Gunasekhar, who was almost in tears speaking to the media said, ‘I adore the Nandamuri family a lot. Even I introduced NT Rama Rao as a junior artiste in ‘Ramayanam’ . I never expected such a humiliation from such a great family. The entire film industry kept mum on this title controversy, though I announced my forthcoming film with Raviteja with the title ‘Katti’ . For that matter, EVV Satyanarayana asked me few months ago to give the title for his son’s film but I refused him. Now I am offering my apologies to the senior director. I don’ t want knock the doors of court for justice because of my adoration towards Nandamuri clan. I am gifting away the title to Kalyanram.’

Rakta Charitra meaning a history in blood is a movie inspired from the real life story of Paritala Ravindra whose origin

is from South India, came into the headlines for being assassinated in January 2005. It is an Indian biographical film produced & directed by Ram Gopal Verma. The movie has been made in two parts a first of its kind made in the history of Indian cinema.

Story:

A blood ridden tale, the story begins with a friction between MLA Narasimha Reddy (Kitty) and his loyal aide Veerabhadrayya (Rajendra Gupta), this is caused due to the plan by Nagamani Reddy (Kota Srinivasa Rao), Narasimha’s relative. In no time, Veerabhadrayya gets killed by Nagamani’s plan and enraged by this, the victim’s elder son Shankar

Ravi (Sushant Singh) takes revenge.

However, Nagamani Reddy also gets Shankar killed and in comes Pratap Ravi who has been away from all this and wanting to marry Nandini (Radhika Apte). However, the death of his father and brother fill him with vengeance for blood and in no time, he starts taking all of them responsible. He finds challenge in the form of the lunatic Bukka Reddy (Abhimanyu Singh), son of Nagamani Reddy. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Performance:

Of course there is one song in the movie that really comes across as a dampener and is my only complaint on the movie. Oh well, we do need it for the cigarette break. Don’t we? And we do need a smoke after weathering the onslaught of blood for over an hour.

The screenplay – I can’t stop raving about it – surprises and delights constantly. Things happen on the screen when you least expect them to. The camera angles are vintage Ramu! The background music score (Dharam Sandeep) & Cinematography by Amol Rathod are par excellence. The acting is super! Especially Shatrughan Sinha in a brief but very powerful role of a cinema actor who floats a political party and becomes the Chief Minister of the state. His role is the best written role in the movie and he has the best lines as well. Thundering applause every time he uttered a word.

Vivek Oberoi gets into the skin of the character Pratap effortlessly. Watch out for his introduction scene and pay attention to the audio design of the sequence. That is a textbook example of elevating the screen presence without resorting to beaten to death clichés like panning the camera up from the shoes of the hero. Three cheers to the director for conceptualizing it and a thumbs up for the music designer.Rest of the cast play their characters with aplomb. The guy who essays Bokka Reddy is stunning. So is Sushant who plays Pratap’s elder brother.

The end is the most disappointing end I have seen till date because the movie does not end there.

Survi Verdict:

This movie is not for the fainthearted. At the same time, there is no gory violence. Yes, heads are smashed under rocks but you don’t get to see it explicitly. Still, I don’t think it is everyone’s cup of tea. Regardless of the movie’s commercial fate, it would remain a cult classic.

P.S: Rakta Charitra – 1 works well as a prelude to what we hope is the real film, Rakta Charitra 2, set to be released in a few weeks from now Nov19 2010.

మహేష్ బాబు చిత్రానికి 'వేట' టైటిల్ ?

మహేష్ బాబు , దర్శకుడు లింగు స్వామి కాంబినేషన్ గురించి గత కొద్ది రోజులుగా వినపడుతున్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే. తాజాగా ఈ చిత్రం పట్టాలు ఎక్కటానికి పూర్తి గ్రీన్ సిగ్నల్ లభించినట్లు సమాచారం. లింగుస్వామి రీసెంట్ గా మహేష్ ని కలిసి కథని నేరేట్ చేసారు. కథ విన్న వెంటనే మహేష్..సినిమా చేయటానికి గ్రీన్ సిగ్నల్ ఇచ్చారు. ఇక ఈ చిత్రం తమిళంలో వెట్టై(తెలుగులో వేట కావచ్చు) పేరుతో మొదలవుతోంది. మాధవన్, ఆర్య లీడ్ రోల్స్ చేస్తున్నారు. ఇది బై లింగువల్ చిత్రంగా రూపొందనుంది. తమిళంలో ఆర్య చేసే పాత్రను తెలుగులో మహేష్ చేస్తారు. మాధవన్ రెండూ చోట్లా ఆయనే చేస్తారు. ఇక ఈ చిత్రం ఇద్దరి అన్నదమ్ముల కథగా నడుస్తుంది. ఇందులో మాధవన్ పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్ గా చేస్తున్నారు.

తమిళంలో దయానిధి అళగిరి ఈ చిత్రాన్ని నిర్మిస్తారు. క్లౌడ్ నైన్ మూవీస్ పతాకంపై ఈ చిత్రం రూపొందనుంది. యవన్ శంకర్ రాజా సంగీతం, నీరవ్ షా కెమెరా, ఎడిటింగ్ ఆంధోనీ గోస్వామి చేస్తారు. డిసెంబర్ 2010 లో చిత్రం షూటింగ్ మొదలై మే 2011 లో రిలీజ్ చేయాలని ప్లాన్ చేస్తున్నారు. తెలుగులో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని కె.ఎల్.నారాయణ తమ దుర్గా ఆర్ట్స్ బ్యానర్ పై నిర్మిస్తారు. మహేష్ సోదరి మంజుల తమ ఇందిరా ప్రొడక్షన్స్ తో సహ నిర్మాతగా వ్యవహరిస్తుంది. ఇక మహేష్ ప్రస్తుతం శ్రీనువైట్ల దర్శకత్వంలో కమిటయిన దూకుడులో బిజీ అయ్యారు. సమంత హీరోయిన్ గా చేస్తున్న ఈ చిత్రంలో మహేష్ పోలీస్ అధికారిగా చేస్తున్నారు. ఇదేకాక మెహర్ రమేష్ దర్శకత్వంలో ఆర్.ఆర్.మూవీ మేకర్స్ సంస్థ నిర్మించే చిత్రంలో నటించడానికి అంగీకారం తెలిపాడు.

"బృందావనం" టాక్ బాగుండటంతో ఎన్టీఆర్ ఆనందానికి హద్దే లేకుండాపోయింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా ట్విట్టర్ లో ఆయన తన అభిమానులకు ధాంక్స్ చెప్పుకున్నారు. ఆయన ట్వీట్ చేస్తూ...నేనిప్పటీ నమ్మలేకున్నాను...ప్రతీ ఒక్కరకీ ధాంక్స్..నేను చాలా హ్యాపీగా ఉన్నాను అన్నారు. ఇక రిలీజ్ కు ముందు ఆయన చాలా నెర్వెస్ గా ఫీలవతున్నట్లు ట్వీట్ చేసారు. అలాగే మీ ప్రేమకీ,సపోర్టుకీ చాలా సంతోషం. సినిమాకి మంచి రివ్యూలు వచ్చాయి. ఇదంతా టీమ్ వర్క్..అలాగే ఈ రోజు కొన్ని ఇంటర్వలు ఇవ్వాలి. ఆ తర్వాత శక్తి షూటింగ్..రేపు బ్రేక్ తీసుకుంటాను అని చెప్పారు. ఇక నిన్న(గురువారం) ఎన్టీఆర్, వంశీ పైడిపల్లి కాంబినేషన్ లో విడుదలైన బృందావనం చిత్రం రొటీన్ కథే అనిపించినా నెగిటివ్ టాక్ మాత్రం స్ప్రెడ్ కాలేదు. ఖలేజా, పులి లతో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని పోల్చి బాగుందనే అంటున్నారు. అయితే రోబో రేంజి మాత్రం ఈ చిత్రానికి లేదని అంటున్నారు.

టాలీవుడ్ లో మరో టైటిల్ వివాదం నెలకొంది. మహేష్ ఖలేజా వివాదం మరిచిపోక ముందే ఈ వివాదం ముందుకు వచ్చింది. కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ కత్తి టైటిల్ పై దర్శకుడు గుణశేఖర తీవ్ర అభ్యంతరం తెలిపారు. తాను మూడేళ్ల క్రితం ఆ టైటిల్ ను రిజిష్టర్ చేశానని, ఇప్పుడు దానికి కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ అనే తోక తగిలించి వాడుకోవడం సరి కాదని ఆయన శనివారం మీడియా ప్రతినిధుల సమావేశంలో అన్నారు. టైటిళ్లకు తోకలు తగిలించి వాడుకోవడం ఎంత వరకు సమంజసమని ఆయన అడిగారు. రవితేజ ను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని తాను ఆ టైటిల్ ను నమోదు చేశానని, రవితేజ వంటి మాస్ హీరో కు చాలా నప్పుతుందనే ఉద్దేశంతో ఆ పని చేశానని ఆయన చెప్పారు. కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ పదాన్ని కూడా కత్తి స్థాయిలో రాసుకుంటే తనకేమీ అభ్యంతరం లేదని ఆయన చెప్పారు.

చిత్రానికి టైటిల్ మకుటం వంటిదని, చిత్ర విజయంలో టైటిల్ ప్రధాన పాత్ర పోషిస్తుందని ఆయన చెప్పారు. టైటిళ్లకు తోకలు పెట్టి వాడుకోవడం విషవృక్షంలా మారిందని ఆయన విమర్శించారు. దర్శక, నిర్మాతలను తాను ఈ విషయం అడిగానని, వారి నుంచి స్పందన లేదని ఆయన చెప్పారు. తాను రచ్చ చేయదలుచుకోలేదని, బాధతోనే మాట్లాడుతున్నానని ఆయన అన్నారు. ఇంతకు ముందు మహేష్ బాబు ఖలేజా టైటిల్ పై కూడా వివాదం చెలరేగి కోర్టుకెక్కింది. మహేష్ ఖలేజా టైటిల్ కు కోర్టు అనుమతిచ్చింది.

 రామ్ చరణ్ ఆరెంజ్ వెంట పడుతున్న ఆస్ట్రేలియా మీడియా

రామ్ చరణ్ తేజా ఆరెంజ్ సినిమాకు ఆస్ట్రేలియా మీడియా పెద్ద యెత్తున కవరేజీ ఇస్తోంది. ఈ మూవీ కవరేజీ కోసం సిడ్నీ హెరాల్డ్ మొదలు అన్ని పత్రికలు గత కొద్ది రోజులుగా స్థలాన్ని కేటాయిస్తున్నాయి. రెండు రోజుల క్రితం సిడ్నీ హెరాల్డ్ మార్నింగ్ రామ్ చరణ్, జెనీలియా  ఫొటోలను రెండింటిన ప్రచురించి, బ్యూటిఫుల్ యాక్ట్రెస్ ఫాల్స్ ఫర్ హ్యాండ్సమ్ రగ్గ్ డ్ హీరో అనే క్యాప్షన్ పెట్టింది. ది మ్యాన్లీ డైలీ ఆరెంజీ మూవీ ఆ వార్తాకథనాన్నిప్రచురించింది. మ్యాన్లీ డైలీ కార్యాలయానికి సమీపంలో ఉన్న మ్యాన్లీ బీచ్ లో ఆరెంజ్ షూటింగ్ జరుగుతోంది. తీవ్రమైన చలిలోనూ రామ్ చరణ్, ఇతర యూనిట్ సభ్యులు షూటింగ్ చేయడం పట్ల మ్యాన్లీ డైలీ ఆశ్చర్యం వ్యక్తం చేసింది.
